This is what happens when politicians get involved in requirements for engine efficiency. It is a Honda problem but it's also not a Honda problem. It's in every manufacturer problem. They simply can't get the emissions out of the tried and true engines so they're building these little tiny motors and slapping turbos on them and here we are.

I use torque wrenches because if something some how potentialy dose happen to a vehicle later down the track the servalilance shows us taking the time to make sure the jobs done right

For anybody wondering there is a Honda class action lawsuit from 2016 up on the Civic 1.5 turbos I've had my whole AC system fixed and now it blew out again one year later from Honda😅 these guys are a joke talking about how much money they can make off you a compressor is $200 they charge $800 at the dealer and $1,200 to install it it's a 2-hour job😅😅😅 I worked in a Honda dealer as a Salesman these guys are f****** Crooks😅😅 it's sad

Quite literally it’s riveted to the intake. You want him to drill out the rivets and screw two more holes on the opposite side of the intake and then what let me guess. Bring it to welder to have it welded only for them to tell him it’s illegal because it’s been modified.

For others doing it, you can run the wire behind the plate through the gaps. Then run the wire through the same rubber grommet as the license plate light wires. This will save you from drilling your car

Really makes you wonder if stronger ARP connecting rod bolts are a must upgrade on these 2zz. I saw a teardown in which one bolt let go and the connecting rod cap opend up and destroyed the engine (was a track car though)

Stick with the Honda School and training. Believe me it really pays to attend every Honda Class your able to complete. I spent 2 1/2 years attending every Honda class and earned 2 Honda Master Certifications. My earnings just about doubled in that amount of time. I applied at a local technical school and hired as an assistant instructor. While there the school payed for my additional college classes and earned a 2 year college degree. In 2012 I was able to retire as I turned 62. I began automotive back in 1977 and worked hard and many times I felt like just giving up, but I stuck with it!!! Don't give up!!!
